1. INTRODUCTION
1.1This personal information policy “Policy” applies to DIG4SA.
1.2DIG4SA respects the privacy of your personal information and are committed to safeguarding your privacy online as far as possible. We are committed to implementing policies, practices and processes to safeguard the collection, use and disclosure of the personal information you provide us, in accordance with all applicable South African laws and regulations including without limitation the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, as amended from time to time (“POPIA”).
1.3This Policy sets out how personal information that we collect from you, or that you provide to us will be used, processed or disclosed by us, including how certain information would be used to personalise advertising directed at you. This Policy also sets out the types of personal information we collect, how we keep it secure, as well as how you can access or alter your personal information stored by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our policy and practices regarding your personal information and how we will treat it.
1.4Unless restricted by applicable law, by interacting with us and/or using our Platform, you agree that any and all personal information relating to you collected by us or provided by you from time to time may be used, processed, and disclosed for such purposes and to such persons as set out in this Policy.

2.1The POPIA defines personal information as “information relating to an identifiable, living, natural person, and where it is applicable, an identifiable, existing juristic person, including, but not limited to:
(a)information relating to the race, gender, sex, pregnancy, marital status, national, ethnic or social origin, colour, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental health, well-being, disability, religion, conscience, belief, culture, language and birth of the person;
(b)information relating to the education or the medical, financial, criminal or employment history of the person;
(c)and any identifying number, symbol, e-mail address, physical address, telephone number, location information, online identifier or other particular assignment to the person;
(d)the biometric information of the person;
(e)the personal opinions, views or preferences of the person;
(f)correspondence sent by the person that is implicitly or explicitly of a private or confidential nature or further correspondence that would reveal the contents of the original correspondence;
(g)the views or opinions of another individual about the person;
(h)the name of the person if it appears with other personal information relating to the person or if the disclosure of the name itself would reveal information about the person.”
2.2You can use and browse our website without disclosing your personal information. You are not required to provide personal information as a condition of browsing our website, except as may be necessary for us to be able to provide the products and services for your use and access and to respond to your requests, if any.
2.3The types of personal information we collect about you include –

6.2If you wish to withdraw consent, please give us reasonable advance notice.
6.3Please be aware that upon your withdrawal of consent, we will not be able to provide you with services or access to our Platform.

7.1We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information and any unauthorised access, use or disclosure.
7.2We will store all the personal information you provide on secure server. Please understand that the transmission of information is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our website and any transmission is at your own risk.
7.3Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access the Platform, certain services or accounts, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. Please do not share the password with anyone.

10.1.3require us to correct any personal information relating to you which is inaccurate for the purpose for which it is being used.
11. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL INFORMATION OVERSEAS
11.1We may temporarily store, process or transfer your personal information between countries in order to enable us to use your personal information in accordance with this Policy.
11.2If there is a need for us to transfer your personal information to another country, we will ensure that the standard of data protection in the recipient country is comparable to that of the POPIA. Should such standard of data protection not be provided for in terms of legislation, we will enter into appropriate contractual arrangements accordingly.

14. GOVERNING LAW
This Policy shall be governed in all respects by the laws of South Africa.
15. INTERPRETATION
15.1Words importing the singular number only shall include the plural number and vice versa.
15.2Words importing only one gender shall include any gender and the neuter gender.
15.3Headings of clauses have been inserted for guidance only and shall not be deemed to form any part of the context or be taken into consideration in the interpretation of this Agreement.
15.4References to a person shall be construed as including an individual, sole proprietorship, firm, company, corporation, government, unincorporated body of persons, state or agency of a state or any association or partnership (whether or not having separate legal personality) or two or more of the foregoing.
15.5References to any person shall include their successors-in-title, assigns, transferees and/or personal representatives.
15.6References to times of day shall unless otherwise stated be references to South Africa time.
15.7References to a day, month or year shall unless otherwise stated be construed by reference to the Gregorian calendar.
15.8This “Personal Information Policy” may also be referred to as “Privacy Policy” on our Platform or Website.
15.9Any reference to any statute or legislation shall be deemed a reference to such statute or legislation as amended from time to time or to a newly adopted statute or legislation replacing a repealed statute or legislation and be deemed to include any subsidiary legislation made thereunder.
